PURPOSE: FIND & FOLLOW

The purpose statement of Trace Crossing expresses in simple terms the desire of our church. When broken down to its individual phrases, this statement shows who we are and the purpose of our ministry.


• The Church at Trace Crossing exists…
The Church is God’s idea and she is His instrument for carrying out his purposes in the world. Whether the name is “The Church at Trace Crossing” or “First Baptist Church” or “Faith Presbyterian”, God is using His Church to accomplish His will in the world.

• to help people…
People need God. They were created both by Him and for Him. God uses His people (the Church) to help all people know Him and love Him. The Church must actively minister to all people regardless of race, class, religion, lifestyle, or habitual behavior for the purpose of leading them out of their sin and toward the Savior.

• find and follow…
We are called to help people both find Christ and then follow Christ. This is the process of thorough evangelism and discipleship. We want people to discover and develop a passion for God through a personal relationship with Christ.

• the new life found in Jesus Christ.
He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life; and no man will ever see God without knowing him. Our whole purpose and mission as a church is to point people towards Christ.
